They're Lesbians... They're Grandmas... They're From Mars...

THE GRANNIES

Married in Canada in 2002, Carrie (J.D.) and Elisia (R.N.) are mothers of three grown children and grandmothers to Jarreth, their two-year old grandson. They have been providing affordable relationship and estate planning services to the gay and lesbian community for over six years through their Rainbow Law website. Through this one of a kind internet service and at workshops and conferences around the country they regularly help gay and lesbian families protect themselves as much as possible.

In the summer of 2003, they completed the first Rainbow Ride Across America cycling more than 2,500 miles from Florida to San Diego. This past summer, the couple rode a grueling 3,100 miles from San Francisco to New York City for the second Ride. The third and final Rainbow Ride will take place next summer and will cover the northern U.S. from Seattle to Boston.

For their efforts, Carrie and Elisia have been interviewed by NPR, covered by numerous local television news stations, awarded an OUT 100 Award by OUT Magazine, named Incredible Parents by And Baby Magazine and received excellent ratings by Curve Magazine.
