WARTIME REVIVAL OF THE SENSES GROUP SHOW



A new series of photographs based on my mother's Gone With the Wind commemorative plate collection is part of Wartime Revival of the Senses, a group exhibition curated by Katie Anania. It runs January 5 - 31, 2012 at the Rock, Paper, Scissors Gallery in Oakland.


THE SHRIMP WINS BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY AWARD



The 18th Annual Nextframe Film Festival has awarded THE SHRIMP the Best Cinematography Award for it's 2011-12 season. HYDE PARK APARTMENTS ACQUIRED BY YALE RARE BOOK LIBRARY & AUSTIN HISTORY CENTER

The Hyde Park Apartments mongraph has been purchased by the Yale University Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library (above) and the Austin Hisotry Center. The beautiful 98-page full-color book is available for purchase from Publication Studios

HAYWARD GAY PROM DOCUMENTARY GETS UNDERWAY

The Bay Area suburb of Hayward is the
somewhat unlikely home to the oldest gay prom in the world (17 years!). Spearheaded by the Hayward Public Library and funded by the California Council for the Humanities, the student-produced documentary began shooting on June 16, 2011. Keith is serving as the project's technical advisor and the amazing Academy Award winner Debra Chasnof is artistic advidor.

Keith's first film shown outside living rooms, SOUTHERN FAMILY can now be streamed online thanks to Frameline Voices, a new effort to showcase diverse LGBT stories with an emphasis on films by and about people of color, transgender people, youth, and elders. Thanks to the Nathan Cummings Foundation for its support.



THE SHRIMP NOW ON DVD



THE SHRIMP is now available to educational institutions, public libraries and community organizations through New Day Films.

Hyde Park Apartments is photography series about the built residential environment of Austin, Texas' Hyde Park neighborhood. It was on veiw at the SOFA Gallery in the fall of 2010.



NEW PHOTOS SERIES AT ADOBE BOOKS



Three photographs in the series Ukiah were included in the Stacked Multiplied show at the Adobe Books Backroom Gallery. The exhibit was curated by Katie Hood Morgan and Devon Bella. Timothy Balon mounted and framed the photos.

THE SHRIMP has been chosen to be part of the 2011 University Film & Video Associations Touring Film Festival.  Details coming soon... The short documentary recently screened at the South by Southwest Film Festival, the U.S. National Gallery of Art, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and at the Gene Siskel Film Cener as part of the Chicogo Short Film Brigade.
