DON'T YOU
BRING ME DOWN TODAY
2004,
4 minutes, DV, color

Cookie
cutter houses, strip malls and parking lots fill the days of the average
American suburbanite. Sometimes, however, you just wanna break away
from it all: in this case clothing is shed, and Christina Aguilera is
channeled. Don't You Bring Me Down Today is inspired by the ever-expanding
American suburbs and by X-tina herself. Shot on location in and around
Creekside Estates Subdivision in suburban Atlanta, Don’t will bring
out the inner suburban flare residing in all of us.

reviews
"A
few of this year's flicks really stand out. ‘Don't You Bring Me Down,’
in which a half-naked man writhes to Christina Aguilera's hit song,
is a hilarious send-up of sex-heavy music videos." - San Diego
Union Tribune
“Pieces like... ‘Don't You Bring Me Down’ cannot be described; [it]
must be seen.”
- Kitchen Sink Magazine
